"Yesterday's market at The Ridings in Wakefield was my first experience of selling my weaving in person, and it won't be my last! Everyone was so helpful, from the cleaner met in the car park (we couldn't find the red car park based on the information so ended up parking in blue) who got us a trolley for stock and took us right to the market site, to Alan and Kim who were friendly and knowledgeable. Kim took me to visit the Hummingbird Collective shop upstairs, which really opened my eyes. Brenda was also friendly, knowledgeable and complimentary, giving me a confidence boost for my new little venture. I couldn't have asked for anything more from my first experience."

"I started with the markets last November and only managed to get on three markets because I’d obviously left it too late, it was a bit of a rushed decision. Anyway I very quickly found I wasn’t prepared at all and restarted this year in April.
I’ve done ten so far with LHE and I have to say, you are all fantastic, there is no limit to how far you guys will go to help people out and make them feel “at home”. The community of stall holders you have built up are the same, if anyone is in need of anything, they will help out any way they can. It really is a fantastic place to be.

I’ve had depression for some years now and therapy sessions cost me £75 a time but I’ve found paying £50 a week to you guys and spending the day with you guys, the staff and stall holders works far better for me than any therapy session I’ve ever had, I always come away smiling and laughing to myself every Sunday, if I sell anything that’s a bonus too.
Keep it up Mark and the rest of the team, including all the stall holders. You not only put on brilliantly organised events and have built a remarkable community but you definitely make me feel much better and I would imagine there are others just like me too."
